Today I spent the day crafting with a friend. Well, crafting and a lot of chatting ! :-).
This card was largely inspired by this blog post..(Third card down). It was a quick made but enjoyed it.

Hi everyone!

As mentioned in my latest post,I made two cards using similar techniques with stamping. Also, in each of them, I added an element of 3D, with either ribban and flower on the first one, and here the word "Thank You" in a bubble speech and attached with 3D foam.

Comme mentioné dans mon precedent post, j'ai créé deux cartes utilisant des techniques de tampon similaires, tres colorées. J'ai aussi rajouté, pour chacune, un élément 3D. Soit un ruban et une fleur sur la première, soit le mot "Thank You" collé a l'aide de mousse 3D.

Hi everyone!

I am in the  mood at the moment for some colour. Probably the arrival of Spring! 

I made two Thank You cards using similar stamping techniques, with various colours. I will post the second one tomorrow!

This card was a quick make...to thank our host for a great murder mystery night which took place in the 20s. I was inspired by the theme of the party...

Cette carte a ete inspiree par le theme de la soiree on l'on etait invites: une soiree mystere qui se passe dans les annees 20 (Une soiree ou l'on joue chacun un role, avec le but de resoudre un crime. Super soiree!)

Rainbow of colors for a Thank You

I love ribbons and I seem to buy new ones all the time. Recently I bought a large pack with a friend, so this reminded me to use them more often....

I love the contrasts on this card: paper versus ribbon; white and black background versus colorful ribbons. And one common item: spots everywhere ! :-).

J'adore les rubans et j'en achéte tres souvent! Récemment j'en ai acheté un gros pack a partager avec une amie, ca m'a donc rappelé de les utiliser plus souvent...

J'aime les contrastes sur cette carte: papier contre rubans; couleurs blanche et noirs pour le fond contre couleurs chatoyantes des rubans...Et un élément fédérateur: les pois! :-)

Heartfelt Thanks

I am back with a pretty simple card made with a combination of stamping, wool ribbons, 3-D, and patterned paper (Have you spotted the common pattern with the stamped area?...).

Oh, and gems! I love my gems and it seems every card lately had some on it :-).

Something else new today is the watermark added to the picture. I had thought a while ago to add a watermark but did not find a real motivation. But a friend recently introduced to paper crafting has decided to add one to her pictures, hence encouraging me to do so....Et voila!

Now....you may have noticed (I do hope so!!!) that I have changed the design of my blog. Thanks again to my friend, who has been recently working very hard setting up her new blog. I felt motivated to change my design, which was done a couple of years...I will introduce you to my friend's blog very soon..as soon as she has finished it. She is far more perfectionnist than I am, and it is already looking very good  ;-).

Me voilà de retour sur ce blog avec une jolie carte toute simple, tampons, ruban en laine, papier (Avez vous remarqué la similarité de la fleur sur le papier et la partie tamponnée?...).

Oh, et aussi des perles. Je les adore et en ce moment j'en mets sur chacune de mes cartes :-).

Une autre nouveauté: la signature en fond de carte. C'est une amie, tout fraîchement adepte du scrapbooking et carterie, qui est en train de monter son blog qui m'a encouragé a le faire...Et voilà :-).

Enfin, j'espere que vous aurez aussi remarqué le nouveau design de mon blog! Merci a mon amie, encore une fois, qui m'a motivée a le faire. Elle est en train de designer son propre site, et je vous en ferai la présentation des que celui-ci sera fin pret!.

This card for a special thanks for a friend!
I started making this card late at night, with a plane to catch the next morning. I browsed the web for inspiration, and I found this beautiful card from Alice W.,, which I just love!

I have copied the design with some variations...Outcome not as nice as the original one :-). But I loved making it, as always...

J'ai tente une replique avec des variantes....pas aussi reussi que l'original, que j'adore!!...Mais c'etait sympa de la faire quand meme!

Black and red - Thank You

I have tried to made a C&S (Clean & Simple) card for a friend who loves stripes, black and red...
Not easy. I am not so sure about the result What do you think?

A card made for a friend. I thoroughly enjoyed making this clean & simple card, with a couple of stamps, buttons, and baker's twine. It is black, red and blue. it is a pity the picture is not as nice as the card!!

Une carte pour une amie. faite avec des tampons, boutons, ficelle, couleurs noir, rouge et bleu. J'adore le resultat, carte minimaliste. Dommage, les photos ne rendent pas aussi bien que la carte.

Thank You Teacher

Cards made for my son's teachers and TAs....He splashed paint on paper, then we die-cut "Thank You" in various colours. The latter were positionned with 3-D tape.

Ces cartes ont ete faites pour les maitresses et assistantes de la classe maternelle de mon fils.
Il a projete de la peinture sur du papier, puis decoupe "Thank You" a l'aide d'une matrice de decoupe et Cuttlebug. Enfin, ces derniers ont ete positionnes avec du sctoch 3-D.

Today I am posting a card made by a very recent crafter, a friend who came to visit us over Easter. She has just started crafting 6 months ago, and she is doing very well!! She has also started her blog a few weeks after her first card, encouraging me to do so as well! :)  Thanks!

Ce jour je mets a l'honneur une amie qui s'est mise a faire des cartes tres recemment. Toute nouvelle dans ce domaine, mais tres prometteuse! Son blog a vu le jour a peine quelques semaines apres avoir fait sa toute premiere carte, m'encourageant ainsi a creer le mien! Voici donc une carte qu'elle a confectionne pour nous lors de son passage chez nous, a Paques. Merci!

I made this card for a friend who helped me out whilst I was ill.

I used various stamps to create the background (resist technique, white embossing powder), then coloured it with Distress Inks and water (water colouring). I added a Baker's twine and a little tag. The sentiment was stamped and embossed with white powder.

My first card of the year! I have tried something I wanted to do for a while, i.e. stamping leaves using various Distress Inks, with water on watercolour paper. I added some glitter for a bit of shine, and here it is...
