Thinking of you

Hi!
I always struggle with coloring, specially with the promakers pens. So I usually stay away from large stamps like this one. But I really liked it so decided to give it a go...Not too bad, although I think I have used the wrong side of the paper! It is too smooth and I touched the ink before it dried....A bit messy but hey, once it is dry, it does look good! Next time I will make sure I used the other side of the paper :-).

J'ai beaucoup de mal a colorer, surtout avc mes stylos feutres Promarkers. Donc en general, j'évite les larges images comme celle-ci. Mais elle m'a vraiment plu donc voila, je m'y suis mise quand meme. Par contre, la prochaine fois j'utiliserai l'autre coté du papier, car celui-ci est trop lisse. L'encre met beaucoup plus de temps a sécher...pas tres prtatique a travailler!

Yellow Flowers garden....

A card for my grand mother...I used an embossing folder kindly lent by a crafter friend. I then sanded the paper to reveal the clear core, added some gems as birds' eyes and a sentiment.

What's up?

Hi all! Long time no speak ;-). I missed this blog, missed talking to you all. But I have been creative, in a different way, with the launch of a new website for a friend. So creativity has not stopped indeed! 

Ok, for this card I wanted something cheerful with summer colours, although we are now in autumn (already!). The style is similar to a couple of other cards made recently, mainly Bubbly Birthday and Hello Sunshines.

Coucou! Ca fait longtemps que je n'ai rien publié sur ce blog. Ca m'a manqué...Mais j'ai été créative, autrement, par la création d'un nouveau site pour une amie. La créativité n'a donc pas cessé! 

Pour cette carte je voulais quelque chose de tres coloré, aux couleurs estivales, bien que nous soyons en automne (deja!). Cette carte a un style similaire a d'autres cartes faites récemment, Bubbly Birthday et Hello Sunshines.

Thank you time...

This blog exists thanks to three friends...So today I would like to thank them all and to present their blogs to you.... 

Cheerfully-crafting blog was created some18 months ago thanks to a friend who lives far away. As soon as she started crafting, she set up a blog. That made it easy for me to see her work! I therefore decided to do the same, and I set up this blog, uploading all the cards I had made over the last few years. We do run challenges (although not very regular), sending each other little craft items to use on our next card to each other. Below is a selection of her cards, and you can see her work in full on lgally blog.

My other friend, who lives nearby, has very recently started making cards and decided straight away to set up her blog. She is so perfectionnist that she spent ages setting up her blog....I felt my own blog needed a bit of TLC too! :-). Hence the re-design a month or so ago. Below is a selection of her creations, and you can see/follow her on crafty gala blog!

Thank you both for motivating me to set up my blog and to help keep my creativity alive!

Last, but not least, I would also like to thank another friend who introduced me to this hobby....She has no craft blog but she will recognise herself ;-).

Ce blog existe grace a trois amies...Ce jour j'aimerais donc les remercier et vous présenter leur blog....

Cheerfully-crafting existe depuis 18 mois grace a une amie qui vit assez loin de chez moi. A peine a-t-elle commencé a faire des cartes elle a créé son blog! Ca m'a permit de suivre son travail de loin...J'ai donc décidé de faire de meme...J'ai créé ce blog et ai mis toutes les cartes faites pendant les années précédentes. Mon autre amie, qui vit prés de chez moi par contre, a trés récemment commencé a faire des cartes. Elle aussi a tres vite décidé de creer son blog. Elle est si perfectionniste qu'elle a passé des heures (et des heures!) a le créer. J'ai trouvé, du coup, que le design du mien avait besoin d'etre renouvelé. Hi ...With a Bunch of Flowers

This card started with a family painting session a saturday morning. Everyone was working on its own project, so I decided to experiment with watercolor paper and Aquarellum paint. The result was astonishing, even with no experience! I therefore decided to use the colored stamped image on a card for my crafty friend.

Although I did not forget her birthday this year, I had not sent any card :-(.  So this card is to say "Hi"..

I hope she likes this one!

Tout a commence un samedi matin....La famille au complet a la maison, une séance de peinture. J'ai donc décidé de tester la peinture Aquarellum sur du papier pour peinture a l'eauc. Le résultat était épatant! 

J'ai donc décidé d'utiliser cette image colorée pour une amie adepte du craft! Cette année je n'avais pas envoyé de carte pour son anniversaire.....J'espere que celle-ci lui plaira!

Joyful Bubbles

A card to say Hello to my grand mother :-).
This card was made using a stencil and Distress Inks, for the colored circles, black and yellow card and a sentiment, as well as black gems for added texture.

Je me suis amusée a faire les bulles de couleurs avec un pochoir et des encres Distress. J'ai rajouté un bandeau fait de cartons noirs et jaunes; Des petits "diamands" noirs et un message.

A card for a friend who is recovering from illness. I made the background using watercolour paint, let it dry, then stamped & embossed another stamp in white. Butterflies punched in various colour papers.
Not the greatest of picture, the card is more beautiful in real :-)

Une carte pour une amie en convalescence. J'ai fait le fond de la carte avec de la peinture aquarelle. Puis j'ai tamponné et embosse avec un autre tampon en blanc. Enfin, les papillons ont ete decoupés a la perforatrice dans du papier de couleur violette et verte.
La photo n'est pas reussie, la carte est plus jolie que ca en réel!  :-)

Card made by a child for another child...

Yanis made this card for a friend at school. The story behind this is: Yanis brought to school a card he had made at home with a firned a long long time ago....This little girl liked it so much yanis promissed to make one for her...And he harassed me (!) at home to do it.
It was really fun!

Note: who recognises the card he/she made with Yanis, very similar to this one??... ;-)

Yanis a fait cette carte pour une amie de son ecole. En fait, il avait emmene une carte faite a la maison avec une amie il y a tres tres longtemps, et son amie en classe l'a beaucoup aime. Du coup, il lui a promit de lui en faire une...Et voila!

We Miss You, from England

This card is for a close friend who left the UK a year ago.
I made three cards during the Diamond Jubilee week end, and this one is one of them. Easy to guess :-). I was largely inspired by the bunting and the colour scheme.
Fun card to make, using embossing powder to make the dotted bunting. Each letter was stamped and die cut with Cuttlebug.

Cette carte est pour une amie qui a quitte l'Angletterre il y a un an.
J'ai fait trois cartes pendant le week end ou l'on a celebre le Jubilee de Diamand de la reine..Celle-ci en fait partie, facile a deviner! J'ai ete largement inspiree par les decorations et les couleurs.
Cette carte a ete faite avec de la poudre a embosser (pour les points sur les drapeaux). Chaque lettre a ete tamponnee et decoupee avec le Cuttlebug.

Just a note...

A quick card to thank a friend for a lovely party today. Children and parents enjoyed it as much!

(Une carte rapide pour remercier une amie d'une tres belle fete organisee chez elle ce dimanche, petits et grands se sont bien amuses!)

Meet under the tree...

Another minimalist card, featuring a lovely tree and the message "Meet under the tree for a nice cup of tea", in memory of a nice cuppa shared together, with a deep, thoughtful discussion.

The tree is embossed with clear embossing powder, and I used a green "mesh" underneath for a green theme. Added a black ribbon for a "sophisticated" effect.

Butterflies danse

I experimented with ink resist technique. Stamped this lovely butterfly and swirl stamp, then white embossed. I then used my Distress Inks on top of the embossed image. I also restamped the image a few times, and cut the butterflies for a raised 3d effect.

Booklet

This is a little book I made using Tim Holtz idea, startin from a sheet of paper. Really quick to turn into a little book. The hardest thin is to decorate :). I cannot show you the inside, it is too personal :).

Ceci est un petit livret fait a partir d'une feuille de papier (idee de Tim Holtz). C'est impressionnant comment c'est tres rapide de fabriquer un carnet a partir d'une feuille! Le plus dur est de decorer...J'y ai glisse une petite pince. Je ne vous montrerai pas les pages internes, c'est perso ! :)
