A birthday card for a 6 years old girl. This card was supposed to be made by Yanis...but guess what?...I ended up making it myself!

Thank you time...

This blog exists thanks to three friends...So today I would like to thank them all and to present their blogs to you.... 

Cheerfully-crafting blog was created some18 months ago thanks to a friend who lives far away. As soon as she started crafting, she set up a blog. That made it easy for me to see her work! I therefore decided to do the same, and I set up this blog, uploading all the cards I had made over the last few years. We do run challenges (although not very regular), sending each other little craft items to use on our next card to each other. Below is a selection of her cards, and you can see her work in full on lgally blog.

My other friend, who lives nearby, has very recently started making cards and decided straight away to set up her blog. She is so perfectionnist that she spent ages setting up her blog....I felt my own blog needed a bit of TLC too! :-). Hence the re-design a month or so ago. Below is a selection of her creations, and you can see/follow her on crafty gala blog!

Thank you both for motivating me to set up my blog and to help keep my creativity alive!

Last, but not least, I would also like to thank another friend who introduced me to this hobby....She has no craft blog but she will recognise herself ;-).

Ce blog existe grace a trois amies...Ce jour j'aimerais donc les remercier et vous présenter leur blog....

Cheerfully-crafting existe depuis 18 mois grace a une amie qui vit assez loin de chez moi. A peine a-t-elle commencé a faire des cartes elle a créé son blog! Ca m'a permit de suivre son travail de loin...J'ai donc décidé de faire de meme...J'ai créé ce blog et ai mis toutes les cartes faites pendant les années précédentes. Voici une petite sélection de ses cartes, et vous pouvez voir toute son oeuvre sur le site de lgally blog.

Mon autre amie, qui vit prés de chez moi par contre, a trés récemment commencé a faire des cartes. Elle aussi a tres vite décidé de creer son blog. Elle est si perfectionniste qu'elle a passé des heures (et des heures!) a le créer. J'ai trouvé, du coup, que le design du mien avait besoin d'etre renouvelé. Et c'est pourquoi un nouveau design a vu le jour il y a environ un mois. Voici une petite sélection de ses cartes, et vous pouvez voir toute son oeuvre sur le site de crafty gala blog!

Enfin,j'aimerais aussi remercier une amie qui m'a initiée a ce hobby....Elle n'a pas de blog, mais elle se reconnaitra! :-).

Rainbow of colors for a Thank You

I love ribbons and I seem to buy new ones all the time. Recently I bought a large pack with a friend, so this reminded me to use them more often....

I love the contrasts on this card: paper versus ribbon; white and black background versus colorful ribbons. And one common item: spots everywhere ! :-).

J'adore les rubans et j'en achéte tres souvent! Récemment j'en ai acheté un gros pack a partager avec une amie, ca m'a donc rappelé de les utiliser plus souvent...

J'aime les contrastes sur cette carte: papier contre rubans; couleurs blanche et noirs pour le fond contre couleurs chatoyantes des rubans...Et un élément fédérateur: les pois! :-)

Hello Sunshine!

This card started with this blog post from Hero Arts. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to give a try to mixing various media. So I have used acrylic paint and painted the background using the same technique explained in that blog. I then added the various elements.

I wanted this card to be trendy...what is this style called? Any idea?

It is very usual than what I tend to do, so this was definitely out of my comfort zone....I love the result! And I would love to make more of this style.

Note: the "Hello SunShine" message is recycled from a shop tag on an item bought recently! :-)

Cette carte a commencé avec ce blog post d Hero Arts. Des que je l'ai vu, j'ai su que je voulais essayer ce mélange de materiaux. J'ai donc utlisé de la peinture acrylique pour le fond jaune, en utilisant la méthode expliquée  sur ce blog, et j'ai ajouté les divers éléments.

Je voulais que cetet carte soit "trendy". Quel est le nom exact de ce style?... C'est tres différent de ce que je fais d'habitude, mais j'adore le résultat...et j'aimerais en refaire d'autres de ce style...

Note: le message "Hello sun shine" est recyclé d'une étiquette de magasin sur un article acheté recemment!

This card is for a lovely 10 years old who is a keen crafter. I had planned to get her a personal "Hand made" stamp, but it did not arrive on time! I therefore made a card using a picture of it....while the real stuff arrives :-).

I used the computer to make the central image, and added a layered 3D image on the right hand side, with the name stamped and embossed in pink. I put a pink gem in the center of each circle. The messages were both printed, the top one was layered in 3D. I had finished the card but something was missing...It is only the next day I realised this card was far too symmetric, so I added the pink dotted ribbon and that finished it!

Cette carte est pour une petite fille qui fete ses dix ans. J'avais prevu de lui offrir un tampon personnalisé "fait main" car elle aussi s'est mise a faire des cartes. Malheureusement il n'est pas arrivé a temps....Du coup j'ai fait une carte avec une image du tampon...en attendant qu'elle le recoive en vrai!

J'ai utilisé l'ordinateur pour designer et imprimer l'image centrale, et j'ai rajouté l'image du tampon a droite en 3D (Avec le nom Amy tamponne et embosse a la poudre rose). J'ai aussi rajouté une perle rose au milieu de chaque cercle. Les deux messages ont été imprimés, celui du haut est en 3D. La carte était finie mais ne me convenait pas....Ce n'est que le lendemain que ca m'a sauté aux yeux: elle était bien trop symmetrique! Du coup, j'ai rajouté le petit ruban rose a pois, et la, c'était la touche finale qu'il manquait!

Hi ...With a Bunch of Flowers

This card started with a family painting session a saturday morning. Everyone was working on its own project, so I decided to experiment with watercolor paper and Aquarellum paint. The result was astonishing, even with no experience! I therefore decided to use the colored stamped image on a card for my crafty friend.

Although I did not forget her birthday this year, I had not sent any card :-(.  So this card is to say "Hi"..

I hope she likes this one!

Tout a commence un samedi matin....La famille au complet a la maison, une séance de peinture. J'ai donc décidé de tester la peinture Aquarellum sur du papier pour peinture a l'eauc. Le résultat était épatant! 

J'ai donc décidé d'utiliser cette image colorée pour une amie adepte du craft! Cette année je n'avais pas envoyé de carte pour son anniversaire.....J'espere que celle-ci lui plaira!

Heartfelt Thanks

I am back with a pretty simple card made with a combination of stamping, wool ribbons, 3-D, and patterned paper (Have you spotted the common pattern with the stamped area?...).

Oh, and gems! I love my gems and it seems every card lately had some on it :-).

Something else new today is the watermark added to the picture. I had thought a while ago to add a watermark but did not find a real motivation. But a friend recently introduced to paper crafting has decided to add one to her pictures, hence encouraging me to do so....Et voila!

Now....you may have noticed (I do hope so!!!) that I have changed the design of my blog. Thanks again to my friend, who has been recently working very hard setting up her new blog. I felt motivated to change my design, which was done a couple of years...I will introduce you to my friend's blog very soon..as soon as she has finished it. She is far more perfectionnist than I am, and it is already looking very good  ;-).

Me voilà de retour sur ce blog avec une jolie carte toute simple, tampons, ruban en laine, papier (Avez vous remarqué la similarité de la fleur sur le papier et la partie tamponnée?...).

Oh, et aussi des perles. Je les adore et en ce moment j'en mets sur chacune de mes cartes :-).

Une autre nouveauté: la signature en fond de carte. C'est une amie, tout fraîchement adepte du scrapbooking et carterie, qui est en train de monter son blog qui m'a encouragé a le faire...Et voilà :-).

Enfin, j'espere que vous aurez aussi remarqué le nouveau design de mon blog! Merci a mon amie, encore une fois, qui m'a motivée a le faire. Elle est en train de designer son propre site, et je vous en ferai la présentation des que celui-ci sera fin pret!.
